The capacitors provided do not appear to match the instructions. We were provided with two 0.22 microFarad caps per kit, and the instructions claim that 100 nF and 100 microF caps are required.

Are the instructions correct?

Hi Russ,

You should have:

1x 100nF polyester box capacitor (square with white body) for C1
1x 220uF 10V electrolytic capacitor for C2 (small cylindrical with black body) instructions have just been updated to reflect in the recent release)
2x 220nF (quite large, usually a green colour) mylar capacitors for the motor surpression - you need to solder one of each directly across the two motor terminals

Sounds like you have located the two motor supression caps. If you are missing the top two, drop me an e-mail with your school name and we'll get some out to you.

We were a bit stuck on the capacitors today, until we saw this post. Nice to know other people have the same questions. Back to the soldering Smile
