The Backseat Drivers

Hello we are The Back Seat Drivers we are Year 10 students at the JCB Academy and there are only three of us however we have done of 5 the pages in the powerpoint and are working well together to get our vehicle complete to the best of our abilities. We have looked at some cicuit boards and are currently aiming create multiple designs for our vehice and eventually create a testing prtotype. We want to reach and hopefully win the national finals because we think that the prize woild be a great experience for us all.

Yay our PIC kit arrived this week. We started soldering the circuit. Joe has been working on the chassis. We did get it running.....in a circle. We figured out that it was not balanced, the batteries were on one side, and the wheels need to be bigger to get our vehicle higher off the ground. However it did randomly dodge all obsticles!

Next week we want to finish the soldering and maybe start programming.

We have just finished soldering out PIC board and mounted the motors. We also installed PIC Logicator and Martin started learning about programming.

Unfortunately we have run out of time this week, but next week we want to test it with some simple programs. Hopefully it will all be working well.
